Accomplishments include: 

  • Writing and editing text for the Gage Academy of Art adult and youth program catalogs and promotional material 
  • Writing, editing and posting text on the Academy’s web site, www.GageAcademy.org 

January 2001 – September 2005: American Orchid Society, Assistant Editor. Delray Beach, Florida 

Accomplishments include: 

Awards Quarterly Magazine, Editor 

  • Coordinating the efforts of staff and volunteer contributors 
  • Adjusting the magazine format to expand the quantity of color images
  • Creating a reference system for the magazine’s annual cumulative index to streamline information access for the American Orchid Society orchid judging system 

Orchids Magazine, Assistant Editor

  • Introducing a monthly orchid pest and disease column, writing text and acquiring images for the feature. 
  • The column’s success and popularity led to its inclusion in the Members-Only section of the AOS web site.
